Santa has set up a workshop in our village and is ready to hear your holiday wishes! Amidst the enchantment and wonder of the Yuletide Village, Santa’s presence brings a special kind of magic. Young and old alike can share their Christmas wishes and bask in the warmth of his joy. Yet, amidst the twinkling lights and snowflakes, there is also a hint of danger, for the shadowy figure of Krampus lurks in the alleys, ready to pounce on those who have been less than nice this year. With Santa’s workshop at the heart of the Village and the shadow of Krampus’ mischief ever-present, the Yuletide Village is a place where anything can happen, and the spirit of Christmas reigns supreme.

Saturdays, December 7 and 14 from 7pm – 10pm.
Spread Christmas fear with the scary and darker side of the holidays at Brimstone Haunt, located at Renaissance Park. Have you been naughty or nice? Krampus will be roaming around in search of the not so good boys and girls to put in his basket. Maybe you’ll catch sight of Santa Claws as he lurks in the darkest corners of Psychosis and The Bog walk through. Up for more s’mores than scares? Enjoy the cozy firepit to warm your bones.

It’s Wednesday evening and members of the Art with Heart team have gone live with the Gray Granite Colour Creations Blog Hop. As I am still in Christmas card-making mode Gray Granite was featured using the Yuletide Village stamp set with Stampin’ Blends. Peaceful Season sentiments and a touch of the Season of Elegance Speciality Designer Series Paper were also used.

Today`s clean and simple card was inspired by this week`s sketch from freshlymadesketches. I had all these cute houses from the Yuletide Village set leftover from another project and was able to arrange them on a mini slimline card to work with the sketch.

Für diesen Sketch habe ich kurzerhand den Kranz aus dem Stanzenset #umgebenvonnatur zur Kreisstanze umfunktioniert, den Innenteil mit einer Blenderbürste coloriert und mit dem Hintergrundstempel #falingsnow weiß embossed. Das Haus stammt aus dem Set #yuletidevillage und wurde mit Alkohol-Markern coloriert.

Das Dorf im Wintertraum
Im Tal, von Wäldern eingehüllt,
liegt still ein Dorf, vom Schnee erfüllt.
Die Dächer glitzern, weiß und rein,
im Mondlicht funkeln sie wie Stein.
Die Gassen sind in Ruh‘ getaucht,
nur leise knirscht, wer draußen haucht.
Vom Kirchlein klingt ein Glockenschlag,
er kündet froh den Weihnachtstag.
Der Tannenbaum im Dorfplatz steht,
mit Lichtern, die der Wind umweht.
Ein Stern hoch oben, klar und mild,
verkündet: „Frieden auf der Welt.“
Die Menschen sitzen warm im Haus,
die Kerzen brennen, Lieder aus.
Und draußen webt der Winter still
den Traum, den jeder fühlen will.
So ruht das Dorf im Zauberschein,
in dieser Nacht, so klar, so rein.
Ein Fest der Liebe, zart und sacht,
erfüllt das Herz in heil’ger Nacht.
passend zur Challenge bei Just Add Ink habe ich dieses winterliche Dorf gestaltet. Dazu habe ich das Set #yuletidevillage und die Bäume der Stanzformen #verschneiterwald verwendet. Der Hintergrund besteht aus DSP #patternedpaper
Die kleinen Häuser und die Kirche habe ich ausgeschnitten und mit verschiedenen Stifte #pen koloriert.
